The Hluhluwe Umfolozi park is one of the oldest wildlife reserves in Africa. Due to the efforts made within this park the White Rhino was saved from extinction. The Hluhluwe Umfolozi reserve is still the best big 5 game reserve to encounter White and Black rhino. Wildebees ecolodge is situated just 25 kilometers from memorial gate, the Northern entrance to the Hluhluwe Umfolozi park. The lodge is owner managed and offers you a personal service and the comfort of country living in the middle of all the delights nature in this part of the world has to offer. The lodge is surrounded by the Hluhluwe Umfolozi and Mkuze Park, and is part of the Greater iSimangaliso Wetlands park, a Unesco world heritage site (formerly known as St.Lucia Wetland Park)

The lodge is situated in a tropical garden, amidst large trees and flowering shrubs that attract a wide variety of birds. On our reserve you will find walking trails and might encounter several game species like reedbuck, nyala, suni, duikers, baboons, vervet monkeys, hyena and several smaller common species.

We are proud to offer you the difference, this is not only noticed by our personal service, relaxed atmosphere and value for money accommodation, but it also includes our measures to conserve the environment and sustain the well-being of local people with our ecolabel projects
